Appointments at St Clements Surgery

In line with NHS guidelines we have now moved to a total triage system. All patients must now now be triaged online or over the phone first and only if deemed necessary and appropriate will an appointment at the practice be offered.

Please call the surgery from 8:20am and speak to a member of our team to book a telephone appointment.

We offer 10 minute appointments with the GP. If you wish to book a longer appointment with the GP, please let reception staff know when booking your appointment.

Morning Appointments (book on the day - open surgery)

On Monday to Friday, an open surgery system is used. This means that all morning appointments are only book on the day. The surgery doors are opened at 08.20 am and patients are offered appointments on a first-come, first-served basis. There can sometimes be a queue outside, so it is advised to arrive at the surgery at about 08.00 am to ensure you are given an appointment.

If you are unable to come to the surgery, the phone lines open at 08.30 am, so please call first thing in the morning. The lines do tend to get quite busy, so we do recommend coming to the surgery for open surgery.

If there are no face-to-face appointments available, you will be offered a telephone appointment. After the telephone appointment, if the GP decides they need to see you in person, they will give you a time to come in.

Afternoon Appointments (bookable up to 4 weeks in advance)

Afternoon appointments are bookable up to 4 weeks in advance. We ask that any cancellations are made as soon as possible. Please call after 10 am to see if we have had any cancellations for afternoon appointments.

Extended Hours (bookable up to 4 weeks in advance)

We offer extended hours on Tuesday's which are bookable in advance.

  • Early morning appointments with Dr Kotnis from 07.00-07.50 am
  • Late evening appointments with Dr Bratby from 18.30-19.50 pm

Late Arrivals

We offer extended hours on Tuesday's which are bookable in advance.

If you arrive at the surgery more than 15 minutes late for your appoitnment and have not let the surgery know you are running late, your appointment will automatically be cancelled and you will be marked as not attending. We thank you for understanding, as late arrivals causes delays for other patients.
