Home Visits

If you require a home visit, please try and call the surgery before 10.30 am.

A doctor will call you back to assess the problem. They will either:

  • provide help with telephone advice
  • arrange a home visit
  • arrange hospital attendance

Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound due to illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice, in the time that it takes to make 1 home visit. It is also easier to examine and treat patients at the surgery, as facilities are easily accessible.

Please keep in mind:

  • It is safe for children with a fever to come to the surgery.
  • Colds are best treated with simple measures, such as rest, plenty of fluids and paracetamol.

If you have any concerns or are in doubt, please call the surgery for further advice or visit your local pharmacy.
